In between painting the commissions (Star Wars Legion and Warlords La Haye Sainte set) I have managed to do something for myself as well.
At the Shallows we are supposed to paint something suitably nautical, preferrably a boat, ship or otherwise floating vehicle. Now I have several ship for different periods in several states of preparation, but nothing in a way I could finish reasonably soon. So I ended up painting tis smallish resin sloop. It's resin and it's boat shaped and lacking all kinds of boaty-things that should actually make it servicable at all. But it's been annoyingly lingering in my cabinets for years so it had to be painted.
The passenger it brings along, however, is a totally different matter! I present you: Geralt of Rivia, the famous Witcher!
Stronghold Terrain has not only provided me with a slew of nice Vikings characters, but also with this Geralt figure (I also have Ciri but she will have to wait). A nice gentleman on a Heroquest FB group made cards for the magic spells the Witcher uses and I did a character card as well as some items (the Witcher potions and swords) so I will now be able to use him in HQ games as well.
If anyone knows of a good bard figure please do let me know. The version of "Toss a coin" below, is Arthur's favourite and he has even taught it to his 3 year old little Bros!
