From StuartL - WW2 Japanese and some RPG minis.

With the deadline for the AHQC drawing closer, it's time for me to make my final post. Since my return to full time work at the start of June I haven't had a lot of time for painting, nor have I had a lot of energy, so I haven't done quite as much as I had hoped to.
My first entry for this challenge was a bunch of Japanese infantry for Bolt Action, so I figured that I would round out the challenge with the same. All of the figures and the flag are from Warlord Games.

To provide some fire support, I have a 47mm AT gun painted up and ready to (hopefully) knock out any Shermans that stray into their sights.

I was also able to finish up the bulk of my infantry for this project. Above there are 16 standing figures and 9 prone, including some LMG's, a Sniper, some command figures and a bunch of riflemen. I think I still have a few more figures left for this project, but they haven't been built yet. I'll probably try and get them ready for the winter challenge, unless something else distracts me.

Finally, a handful of Reaper minis I have had cluttering up a corner of my workbench for a while. A goblin, a gator-man, a giant boar and a were-boar. To give you a sense of scale, the goblin is roughly 25mm tall.

Which brings me to the final round-up for the totally unofficial and un-minioned points I have been awarding myself.
1 gun + crew = 25 Points
16x Japanese infantry = 80 Points
9x prone infantry = 22.5 Points
1x 25mm monster = 5 Points
3x 40mm monsters = 21 Points
Total = 153.5 Points

This gives me a grand total of 1093 Points for the challenge, exceeding my AHPC-X total by 36 points, and by 456 Points if you don't include the bonus points for Challenge Island.
As for my Bolt Action Era side duel with my esteemed rival Noel, the Japanese troops from this entry bring my score up to 865 Points. I'm looking forward to seeing what he manages to achieve with his final round of entries.

Thanks for all of the support and kind words over the past few months!

From Barks: An inn for weary travellers

Hadn't really realised that the Q blog is winding up! I'm having a big painting session today and will try for a few entries.

So, here's a 3D printed building I've set up as a quintessential inn. I'm submitting the floors and walls and bar; the Reaper staff are an old paintjob of mine, and the tables were seen last year. The floor is 8x8". The pieces are from Printable Scenery.

Boarded-up window adds a bit of flavour.

Fireplace and detail behind the bar

They're great wargaming quality pieces. Here I've stacked them so you can see the potential for a village...

All in all, very useful.

From PeteF: Basing Wellington's Army - Four More

Is this the last day of the Quarantine Challenge? I've kind of lost track - what with all the isolation and days seamlessly merging into each other. If it is, for my last post I put more of my dad's troops on bases, ready for a big wargame some day.

There are Belgian Jaegers, the 30th Cambridge, 92nd Gordons and 6th Dutch Militia. Three of the battalions are Minifigs. The Dutch militia are Hinchcliffe - Minifigs never got round to making Dutch militia. There were quite a lot of them in the 100 Days campaign and I recently realized my dad didn't get around to collecting every battalion - I've found placeholders where he did one or two officers for a unit but not all the infantrymen. If I'm going to be a completionist I'll have to do some Dutch - although I might leave it until after the French - so perhaps in my early 90s.  Or even the 2090s.

My dad put old style shiny paper flags on some of his regiments and I've kept them. With bare flagpoles I print a flag - in the case of the Dutch militia it's rather speculative. Soaking in white glue gives it more of that flapping in the breeze feel.

I've taken some close ups to share the beauty of 25mm Minifigs - my favourite scale. I enjoy the chunkiness of the little guys. They take me back to massive games in the dining room with my brother and childhood friends.

I like all the Dutch and Belgian troops in the army - it gives it some nice variety. Waterloo was very much a shared venture.

Many thanks to all on the Quarantine Challenge - I feel like I should have commented more on everyone's most excellent posts - the last 3 months have been surprisingly busy for all the isolation.

May your ferules remain unclogged and your paints never run dry.

Iain W 28mm Early Imperial Roman auxiliaries (60points)

JTinQT Week 12 - Sign Off Post - More Landsknechts

Hi All

Glad just managed to sneak in a last post although time difference nearly caught me out. Thanks to Curt and all for this blog - pleased I managed to post something each week although sometimes just a single figure. Anyway perfect to take my mind off everything and to enjpy so many other others brilliant painting.

My last post is a couple more pike for the second back rank of my French Black Band pike block. Pity I could not complete but will keep pushing on to do this. As before figures are Old Glory.

This next shot has the front base in the background and the figures for the back base, just 4 so far including the new ones for this week. Still you can get the idea of what I will be finishing.

Once again thanks everyone ...... also a thumbs up from my brother Matt in case he misses the cut for a post. Know he is on night shifts this week but he has really enjoyed it as well. We have a few big wargaming clashes to schedule in when we can.

All the best everyone ........... Cheers Jez
