From JeremyM, a Post-Painting Challenge Post

 Hi All,

I really ran out of steam near the end of the painting challenge this year due to some craziness at work. So much that I didn't even post a few of the chambers I had actually finished prior to the challenge end. As well, I had a couple of rooms that I had half done. So to start off the vaccine challenge I thought why not start with all of that stuff.

First up I 'The Tweeker" an ork I painted near the start of the challenge at the same time I painted his colleague "Gold Toof." I had intended on posting him in the ork room. He is a 3d print I found randomly on thingiverse. As with his friend he'll be carted off to PeterD once I'm vaccinated and can actually get to see him in person. With those and his gobbo tanks Peter is starting to get a decent start to his ork army.

Next up I have a Valentine's Day gift to my wife. The first mini I've tried to paint inspired by a person, and in this case my K-9 family members as well. You can see all of us in the last picture here which was taken a couple Christmas' ago as part of our Flyball team (a dog sport, Left to Right are Joanna, Evie, Wiki, myself and Penny). All are heavily edited 3D prints, made to better match my family. For whatever reason I thought this female druid model would work well for my wife, I was inspired from the 3D model used for Evie which standing on a rock so a nature theme seemed to make sense. The rest of the base was woodland scenics trees and some other scenic bits and bobs. I had thought of doing this for the Hall of Ancestors chamber which kind of fits.

Next up is my Guard room post, one of the 1/2 finished projects from the challenge. I chose to do 3 Weyland-Yutani security guards and some crates. The figures are from Mantic and the crates are all from GW's Necromunda box set game. All the crates have a loot side (guns or ammo) and a bomb side. I'm not sure if that is what is intended in the rules but it was fun to add something to the opposite side instead of just leaving it empty.

And last but not least was my intended post for the lab chamber, another completed post-challenge. This is inspired by the med-lab in Aliens. There are two Weyland-Yutani scientists from Mantic games. The base was custom created on a CD and glass jar containing the face hugger was from some spray bottle in our bathroom. It turned out to be far thicker and harder to cut than I thought and got a bit scuffed but still looks decent I think. The facehugger model along with the beds, computer, and medical locker are all 3D prints I found on thingiverse.

So that's a true wrap to my painting challenge projects for this year. It was great to get back on the 'painting horse' and finish up a few things I really wanted to complete. Now I'll either try my hand at more Imperial Guardsmen (one can never have enough meat shields!) or some more Alien themed figures as I have no shortage of those to slap some colours on.

From JohnS - Yes, I am painting more Napoleonic Spanish

The Vax Challenge is giving me a chance to catch up on the painting I was planning in AHPC XI and to that end I present more Napoleonic Spanish.

More from the fabulous Offensive Miniatures these chaps are nominally the 2nd Majorca Militia Infantry Regiment in about 1809. Uniform information for the period being what it is, they could be completely inaccurate but I like them.

With these 8 figures I claim 40 "Catch Up Points". (Yeah, I know they're not a thing but it keeps me quiet and happy so can you just play along?)

I am confident that I will get some more of these chaps (and some of their cousins from Perry) on the table as I know that I won't get the jab before May.
