KenR 28mm 7tv Baddies
A little update on the 7tv Cops and Robbers mini Project which is now almost done and this post covers (mostly) bad guy bosses.
The figures are all 28mm Crooked Dice and excellent quality. With the camera counting as a crew served weapon it's equivalent to 14 Figs at 5 points a piece giving me 70 points and a virtual Quarantine Total of 1378.
I'll do a post on the buildings when they are finished (there's another in the builders yard at the mo) but they do work lovely with these figs.
Here's the lone Cop in this batch, the 7tv Tough Detective, who is a dead ringer for John Thaws character Jack Reagan in The Sweeney.
No points for these but I've picked up some more vehicles for the period, no painting awesome 👍
My favourite is the Camera Man and Camera, for those who don't know 7tv is set in a TV Studio and has casts battling against each other for ratings. He has been painted up in Yarkshire TV colours and is likely to appear on a regular basis over on my YouTube channel.
I do have a group of 3 Scooter riders left from my 7tv stuff but I've put them to one side for the moment. I'm working on the terrain for the Sweeney stuff and building up some Scenarios whilst gaming is on hold.
Next up on the paint table are some WW1 British Cavalry, it's a big unit so it might be some time before I get them done.

KenR 28mm 7tv Scientists
Just a quick post today on 4 odd figures for my 7tv game. These are classed as Scientists but can double as a number of generic roles in the game. In the back ground is my new Mk1 Ford Transit (from Vanguards) which my Robbers are going to use as transport.
The 4 figs are 28mm from Crooked Dice so thats another 20 points taking me to 1187, I've done and based the horses on my Kingdom of Jerusalem mounted Sergeants so they should appear early next week.

KenR - Baddies, Blaggers and Slaaagggs
In a leafy lane in Richshire England group of armed blaggers are after the family art collection of the local gentry, who can save us all !
The start of the Robbers cast for my 7tv game, a lovely bunch of balaclava clad thugs ready to nick owt that ain't nailed down.
The figures are from Crooked Dice and as with the uniformed police there are a couple of duplicates in here which I have tried to paint up differently.
Paint wise it's a very straight forward job after all these lot are not trying to stand out whilst on a job !
That's 8 more figures giving me 40 points up to 844.
Next up will be the last of my Kingdom of Jerusalem Foot.

KenR : Life on Mars
Having finished my uniformed officers for my 7tv game it was time to add some proper "Hard Bastards" or the cast of Life on Mars.
![]() |
The real cast and a familiar car. |
I've used the picture of the cast as my guide for painting these, above are Gene Hunt and on the right Sam.
Ray on the left with Chris on the right.
WPC Cartwright on the right and the character Alex Drake (or Bolly knickers !) from the spin off Ashes to Ashes set in the 1980s.
The car in the first series was an early Ford Cortina Mk III but sadly I haven't been able to find one at a sensible price, so I have added 7 (there's a dog in the photo below) is another 35 points taking me up to 804 points.
So just to finish here's a picture of my completed Police Cast, I plan to add a couple of cars and vans but that's it for figures. I'm onto some more Kingdom of Jerusalem stuff, this time Foot Knights before I return to do some baddies to go up against this lot.

KenR - More Uniformed Police
A few days ago I posted up the first set of figures for my Cops and Robbers casts for the 7tv game, here is the next group, the remainder of my uniformed officers.
I think I must have double order some stuff in the past as I have ended up with two Sgts, 2 marksmen and 2 WPCs (as they were known then). So the Sgt above has been done with a white shirt to differentiate between the two.
The above photo shows the second Police marksman a female officer and another Traffic Constable.
This Sgt looks so much more friendly than the one in the blue shirt. A total of 7 figures in this mini batch for another 35 points, slow and steady and up to 769 points.
Next up will be the cast of Life on Mars.

KenR - 28mm 7tv British Police
A bit of a change of tack for me today, historical military figures are the norm but today's fare is for my 7tv game and the start of of British Police cast from the 1970s.
The 4 figs are 28mm and from a Company called Crooked Dice who make the 7tv game, the car is seen as bought, a company called Vanguards do a number of Police Cars of the period and it looks the bizz.
The four figures net me 20 points upping the Quarantine Total to 704, I have another batch of 8 uniformed officers to finish, before starting work on some Life on Mars CID types. Above is a rather burly Sgt, if he told me to go home I would.
These 70s cops are armed with a wooden trunchen and razor sharp sarcasm, the white caps are representative of Traffic Police (who wouldn't be seen dead near the Austin Allegro must get them a proper flash motor), the blue shirts where common in at the time before the switched to white in the 80s.
The final officer doesn't even have a trunchen, he just has a torch, he is actually a dog handler but I forgot to paint the dog 😂
Up next more cops.

KenR A Blake's 7 Reprise
For those of you with really good memories I did a big group of figures from Blake's 7 a few years back on the regular Winter Paint Challenge. I have had these six hanging around waiting to be finished since then. As the lad is home from Uni we are busy researching the series and that has led to an interest in the game again (we had a family 7tv scenario today).
These six figures are characters that joined later on in the 4 season run or are additional models giving an updated late run version of original characters. Above left to right are Dayna, Soolin and Tarrant.
The three above are the late versions, Blake himself on the left, Avon in the middle and Villa on the right,
Villa was a great character, a confirmed coward, desperate to look after himself and stay out of danger but a fantastic thief and expert lock picker, his interplay with Avon was often hilarious.
Avon, added new levels of sarcasm to a TV Series.
Soolin, a late series character, played by the lovely Glynnis Barber, most boys who were teenagers at the time will remember her !
So 8 x 28mm figs at 5 points a piece is 30 giving my personal total at 151. Tomorrow will see the reveal on the Italian Wars town.
