KenR - 28mm Italian Wars Mtd Crossbow
I did the horses for these for Challenge IX when I did the bulk of my Italian Wars Project and they have been sat on a book shelf waiting for the finishing touches to be added and the figures built and painted.
So here is the finished unit, 12 x 28mm plastic Perry Miniatures with one of Petes Flags as the icing on the top.
I just love the Perrys figures so much, if someone asked me to design a figure that matches my painting style exactly it would be these, the faces are just so good, I even find myself adding little expressions on them.
So we have another 121 points to add to the 1046 in the bag giving me 1167 a very productive pandemic.
Next up will be a mounted unit for the Kingdom of Jerusalem force with some 7tv on the side lines for when I get bored of light blue.

KenR 28mm Italian Wars Command Stand
Back to work tomorrow (just after a scheduled holiday, none of that stay at home gubbins for us Crown Servants !) so I'm catching up getting stuff posted on here.
So here we have a 28mm command stand for my Italian Wars Project. A metal officer figure and a plastic standard bearer both from the Perrys, the flag as always is from Petes, although I did paint the edges 👍
2 Cavalry and a flag is 21 points so we are up to 1046. Next up, probably in a week or so will be some Mounted Crossbow.

KenR - 28mm Italian Wars Artillery
A quick addition to the things that go boom in my Italian Wars Army. I found this gun and crew already undercoated in a box under a box in a cupboard I hadn't looked in for a while ! Heaven knows how much stuff is hidden around the Home of Yarkshire Gamer 😁
Thirsty Work ! |
A quick 30 points taking me to 734 so far in Q Challenge, got some more Cops to post tomorrow.

KenR - 28mm Papal Gendarme
It's like a time machine, going back to Challenge IX when the Italian Wars Project was in full swing and I was firing out a unit of these a week.
So here web have another unit of 6 28mm Wargames Foundry Men at Arms done up in a red Papal theme with two flags from Pete's to finish the look.
I seem to recall these were 62 points worth so my imaginary Quarantine Challenge total is now 563, very respectable.
Next up is most likely to be some more Kingdom of Jerusalem Foot Sgts but I opened up my next paint project to the vote on Twitter so with a couple of hours to go it could still change. Hope you are all keeping safe 👍

KenR - 28mm Italian Renaissance Town
Well here it is, my Renaissance Town, it was going to be a village but you know how it goes 😂
Like many out there I have had to cancel plans and my holiday in May is off, being an honorary Yarkshire Man the brass was still in my account so it needed "investing" elsewhere and these buildings came into the crosshairs at the right time.
I am dreadfully lazy when it comes to terrain, I can spend hours sorting out detail on figures and flags but when it comes down to buildings and the like I just can't get the enthusiasm.
The buildings are from a Company called Empires at War, I have never heard of them until a few weeks ago. I saw a nice building on eBay, took a punt, it was lovely and I ordered a "few" more.
The buildings are avaliable in plain mdf or for a couple of quid more, painted. The lazy terrain builder in me got painted obviously. I have done nothing to these models apart from build them, and I think they look rather nice.
In fact I sat down with my son over a couple of afternoons to build these, it was really nice to spend some quality family time together, even if the reason for it is a worldwide pandemic.
I would be grateful if one of the Minions or even the Snowlord himself could give me a guide on what points these 11 28mm buildings would bring in the challenge as I have no idea, just for my personal total so it doesn't have to be too accurate.
I will do a much bigger post on Yarkshire Gamer in the next couple of days with a video and lots more pics so drop by if you can.
Now on table are a unit of Italian Wars Gendarme which got prepared for AHPC X but never got started.
