KenR - 28mm Italian Wars Artillery

A quick addition to the things that go boom in my Italian Wars Army. I found this gun and crew already undercoated in a box under a box in a cupboard I hadn't looked in for a while ! Heaven knows how much stuff is hidden around the Home of Yarkshire Gamer 😁

Thirsty Work !
The figures are from Wargames Foundry who do a few different gun and crew packs, they are old casts but like the Gendarme they very much stand up to today's more modern sculpts.

A quick 30 points taking me to 734 so far in Q Challenge, got some more Cops to post tomorrow.

  1. They look great. I would not want to stand around (on either the friendly or the enemey side) whenever this piece is fired, though. Alcohol and traffic don't mix, but I am not sure about alcohol and gunpowder either. Excellent work nevertheless!

  4. Superb looking piece and crew Ken. You need to look under more rocks to see what other hidden treasures are buried.

    1. I think I might find a few horrors too !

    2. Crank up the Skullometer horrors, 1970s lumps of lead horrors or 13 year old learning to pain horrors?

  9. Great work Ken - as a relative newcomer to the Italian Wars, I'm always struck by how these figures are, essentially, the "Empire" figures from GW's now-departed line of fantasy figures. So even though I have never played an Italian-Wars battle (and wouldn't really know where to start if I wanted to) I get a jolt of nostalgia every time I see your efforts on this project!
