The figures are all Perry metals - actually two of the same set with a couple of additions from other Perry sets.
I especially liked the guy dealing with the arrow (just a flesh wound I'm sure!)
Ouch! |
Messing around with fancy patterns :-) |
Oops - googly eyes! |
Steady lads! |
Don't you hate those mould lines that you thought you'd got rid of! |
I also couldn't resist posting a link to this -- a print of which is on order to adorn my walls!
Lovely looking billmen! Sorry can't see the mould line, probably best!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thanks Iain -- the annoying mould lines run along the edges of each pole arm on each side -- I thought I'd sanded them away but dry brushing really brings out every detail :-(
DeleteNice work Simon. Have to agree with Iain - those mould lines are next to invisible.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mike -- there's a reason I'm not showing any overhead shots!
DeleteReally nice Simon, including the Google eyes!
ReplyDeleteThanks -- it's either that or an excess of eyeliner :-)
DeleteLike these a lot Simon. Anyone close enough to see the mold lines on those pollards will likely have the business end of one between the eyes shortly - not worth bothering about at all.
ReplyDeleteThanks Peter, luckily these are not wire spears so your eyes should be safe! Steer clear of my standards though 🤪
DeleteThey look smashing, though cutting and slashing will also work I suppose. Interesting contrast between the mail and plate and the bare legs!
ReplyDeleteStory is that the bare legs (actually rolled down hose which is the stuff piled up above the short boots) made it easier to deal with the endemic dysentry which did for Henry V among many others
DeleteReally well done Simon.
ReplyDeleteThanks Greg -- the end (at least for the French) is now in clear sight!
DeleteSome great additions to your Hillman 👍
ReplyDeleteBillmen, bloody autocorrect 😁
DeleteThanks Ken - You must have been thinking of that Hillman Imp that would be perfect for your 7TV setup 😁
DeleteThey really look the part!
