From TamsinP: 28mm Wars of the Roses Spearmen

I did say on Friday that you could expect another small batch of figures from me in short order. And here they are. The list in AdlG allows the Northern Border/Militia infantry to be either billmen (which you saw on Friday) or spearmen. So, I had to paint up three bases of spearmen!

28mm plastics from Perry Miniatures as before.

This week I will be starting work on the cavalry elements. Looking at what I have prepped, I've actually got more mounted than I need for the list.

  1. These look great Tamsin - since watching The White Queen/White Princess/Spanish Princess I'm getting the itch to paint up some Yorkists.

  3. At this rate the Perrys must be working double shifts to keep up with your demand for minis. Great work as always.

    @ Jez - thanks! :)

@ Stuart - cheers! I bought the figures long ago, so the Perrys have had plenty of time to recover! :)

    @ Barks - thanks! :)

@ Iain - cheers! I'm close to filling two box files already. :)

  9. Great work Tamsin - ADLG seems like a neat set of rules, at least based on the basing.

  10. Very nice, Tamsin. Lots of pointy things pointing in all directions!

  11. @ Greg - cheers! It's somewhere between DBA and DBM, or so I'm told. The double-rank bases for medium and heavy foot certainly allow you to arrange the figures in more of a diorama fashion. :)

@ Curt - thanks! And the pointy things are plastic so no fear of hands becoming pin-cushions! :)

    @ Peter - cheers! :)

    @ SAS Wargames - thanks! :)

  12. Smashing stuff, the coloured tunics are once again a nice counterpoint to all the armour

  14. @ Jamie - thanks! The different colours will help me keep track of units, maybe to record their fortunes in a campaign. :)

@ Sander - cheers! I got these painted during gaps in the basing process for the billmen. :)
