A miniature painting challenge created to provide a safe, supportive place for hobbyists to keep in touch during this time of social-distancing and isolation.
I picked up this set a few months ago as I had a (vague and as yet unrealised) idea for a game. As the photos suggest, the box contains the makings of three figures and two Goliaths, making it a pretty handsome buy for under £10.
Very nice and a great addition to your collection, Tim. (I always think of my Advanced Squad Leader days when seeing the Goliath as that was when the teenage me, pie-eyed with wonder, first encountered them.)
Nice unusual set, mini exploding tanks, what fun!

More cool additions for you German pioneer force. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteThose are great Tim. You could probably repurpose the for your 1/285 scale games too.

ReplyDeleteFunnily enough none of the other pioneers want anything to do with these things!

ReplyDeleteI think a 1/35 scale explosion in a 1/300 wargame might be regarded as rather unsporting.

ReplyDeleteTrying to play ASL with basic weapons was bad enough! I never got as far as 'chrome' like Goliaths.
I know - I found ASL to be sort of a 'lifestyle choice' game. You're either all-in or you don't bother at all. :)

ReplyDeleteThanks - the tracks were a bit fiddly but the end result looks OK

ReplyDeleteThanks. You really can't go wrong with these Tamiya kits.
Now there's a case of omen est nomen if there ever was one... I really like the style of this collection of yours!
ReplyDeleteGood fun!
